INTRODUCTION
Abstract

This longitudinal study investigates household resilience across 1,200 pastoralist and farming communities within Katsina’s 20 Local Government Areas, demonstrating that pastoralists experience income losses 4.2 times greater than farmers as a result of desertification, whereas farming households implement more robust crop diversification strategies as adaptive measures. 1.2 Statement of the Problem
